Director / Coach

Sarah Johnson is a native Texan, born in downtown San Antonio.  She established Bulverde Volleyball 9 years ago, and under her leadership, along with the support of our coaches, club families, and the community, the club continues to provide an opportunity for athletes to excel in volleyball.  She believes sports are a key element to cultivate positive traits, for example, teamwork, determination, & responsibility, in our youth to help them become successful adults.  She enjoys working with youth, and is so excited to see Bulverde Volleyball continue to be a positive light for the athletes it serves.

She has 11 years of coaching experience.  Parents of athletes that Sarah has coached have described her as a natural at coaching, that she possesses a gift of connecting with her players which is something you can't teach.

Her passion for volleyball started in middle school.  She also played in high school and received many recognitions.  Her high school coach has stated that it was an honor to coach someone with such drive and talent.  She went on to attend college at the University of Texas where she played Collegiate Club Volleyball for UT while earning a Bachelor degree.  Hook em' Horns! She has played indoor and sand volleyball her entire life.  Volleyball is her passion and she is thrilled to share her enthusiasm and knowledge of the sport with her players.  Her motto is, Play Hard.  Be Positive.  Never Quit.
